Personal
Family
Paul and his wife live in Salt Lake City with their dog, Rockford, and appreciate how accessible skiing and hiking are from home. They have two adult children — both mechanical engineers working for start-ups in the Los Angeles area. (Their engineering talent comes from Paul's wife!) Rockford, notably, does not subscribe to the "work like a dog" philosophy.
Hockey
Paul plays "beer-league" hockey in Park City, Utah. He was a prolific scorer back in his playing days in the Chicago suburbs, but these days he mostly plays defense. The league is non-checking — though as any player will tell you, that doesn't make it beanbag!
Duplicate Bridge
Duplicate bridge is Paul and his wife's shared hobby. Playing as partners is the ultimate test of a strong marriage — theirs has passed with flying colors! It's golf's equal for frustration, without the green fees!
Wrigley Field Foul Ball
In July 2018, Paul caught a foul ball at Wrigley Field — such an awesome catch that the TV announcers commented on it and directed the cameras to Paul's celebratory, uh, dance? In the video below, the roar of the crowd is in response to the catch, and that's his son standing next to him.
